My favorite day of the week...wedding Wednesday! Today's post is composed of pics with our bridal party and a few with our family. All the pictures make me so happy...to see everyone go from serious to laughing to cheesing because they think thats what they are supposed to do makes me laugh. I am so grateful to each and everyone one of them though. Having them there made the day so special.
When it came time to choose the bridesmaids dresses, I was pretty indecisive. Cost was the biggest thing for me because my girls were already doing so much for
my bachelorette and we rented a house at the beach for the week of the wedding. Ah! So, I considered the shopping places you hear horror stories from (you know, ordering $50 dresses from overseas) and we even tried order one from Lulu's. The dress was pretty but the fit and material weren't right for the occasion (luckily only one girl ordered it, so the rest didn't have to).
Time wasn't on our side so two of my maids and I went to our local David's Bridal and picked out
this convertible dress in mint that ended up being the one. I liked it because the girls could wear it however they wanted. David's was a very convenient choice
but we did struggle with the sizing...just something to be weary of.
My maid of honor did wear a different dress than the rest of the girls.
This one fit her perfectly and I was the type of bride that was cool with whatever my girls wanted (within reason haha). For shoes, I asked them to wear nude ones that made them most comfortable and for nails, as long as they weren't red, I didn't care. Everyone chose their own jewelry as well. I had to plan
a lot, I figured they could handle accessories.
The men's suits were all purchased during the Jos A Bank buy one get 3 free sale and they better wear them again. Haha, the girls might not re-wear their dresses (I'm not a naive bride) but this suit was super fresh. Ryan (my hubs) wears his to work all the time and says its very comfortable too. I had them accent the wood buttons on the suit with brown shoes and brown belts. Ties were rented from Men's Warehouse.
Candids are always my favorite. Look at my MOH on the right of the above pic (LOL, the cutest).
We took all these photos after our first look and it was ridiculously windy haha. Our photographer did a great job managing the weather because I thought we all would have looked super windblown. She also was great at wrangling our crazy friends...I would have yelled at them haha.
We took a few family pics after the ceremony in the shelter of one of the country club's many porches because it started raining all of a sudden! I cant wait to tell you all about the ceremony but that's a post for another wedding Wednesday ;).
How darling are our flower girls?! They
may have stole the show in their
crocheted and tulle dresses. My mom and I def battled over the flower girl dresses...she wanted a
poofy cupcake look (cute but not my style) and I wanted a
bohemian flower child look. I am glad we came across these because they were adorable and perfect for the occasion. The ring bearer looked super sharp in his little bow tie as well (also rented from Men's Warehouse).
Love this one of my mom and I...we are cheesing so hard but we were just so ridiculously happy that it was hard not to :)
This is cute of Ryan with his Dad and Brother, too.
Oh and here is my brother and I being goofy, per usual.
I present to you, the Hanson/Tilley family (I am smiling so hard as I type this #blessed).
