Make it Monday: Tassel Bracelets

If you haven't already noticed, I am obsessed with tassels...evidence number one, two and three. So today, I thought I would show you how to make fun elastic bracelets with tassels.

Materials: Bead of your choice (mine are from Michael's), embroidery thread, .7mm stretch magic string, and a small piece of cardboard cut like above.

Step 1: To make the tassel, wrap the embroidery thread around the piece of cardboard until it reaches your desired thickness (I did about 15 times). Then, with a new piece of thread, tie a knot around the middle like above.

Step 2: Flip the cardboard over and cut the threads down the middle. You will then have a tassel like below.

Step 3: Wrap a new piece of thread around the top of the tassel and tie a small knot. Trim tassel to desired length.

Step 4: String beads on elastic string and tie off.

Step 5: Tie the tassels to the bracelets.

Fun right?! And oh so easy. These bracelets would make the perfect gift for your BFF's b-day or addition to your own jewelry collection.
